Godly Character

May 10, 2022    Pastor Joe Asmah

Your character is one of the most powerful forces to your advancement. Character, which should be the most significant mark of every believer, has unfortunately become the most ignored part of our faith in recent times. There is more emphasis and talk on Charisma than on character, but you cannot have Charisma and ignore Character.

Joseph and Sampson are two great examples to look at with regards to character and charisma.
They were both marked with God’s Presence and Favor, but it was Character that defined their end. Joseph had the presence of God and was favored but it was his character that gave him advancement.

Samson had strength of body, power and ability, but he lacked character. Joseph had the gift of interpreting dreams and he also had strength of character.

If you’re going to live a full life of purpose, you must live by conviction and not by compromise.

Compromise crosses you out or cancels you. It gives you pleasure, but conviction gives you respect. You must rather live by conviction than by compromise.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Ask the Lord to sanctify you by the blood of Jesus and give you grace to live a life that is pleasing to the Father.
2. Pray that your thoughts will be fixed on that which is pure and holy.
