The Maturity Test

Like any journey, whether by air or road, delays are inevitable. God uses detours and delays in your life to teach you about faith. Dreams are never fulfilled immediately. There's always a waiting period.
Many of us might have questions that no one has been able to answer satisfactorily.

The most perplexing question of all that people often ask is; Why does God wait to answer prayers? If He hears it immediately and has the power to do it, why the delay? We want things quick and have no time to spare.

God sometimes uses delays to prepare you for what He has destined for your life. The children of Israel were not prepared for war, and God knew that if they went to war they wouldn’t be able to handle it. So a two week journey became a 40 day journey designed by God to test their hearts. The test of your maturity is how well you handle the waiting rooms of life when things don't come immediately. When it feels like things are being delayed, trust in the power of God to make all things beautiful in its time.
