Be An Example

MARCH 18TH, 2022 | TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL: BE AN EXAMPLE (1 TIMOTHY 4:12)
The Apostle Paul gave this advice to His protege Timothy because He knew the potential for problems in any church where people of a variety of religious backgrounds, cultures, and ages come together. Jesus Christ must become our pattern or model in order to impact the lives of others.

One important element of Discipleship is to be an example that others can emulate. Jesus said to His disciples to “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me” (Matthew 11:29). This means that to follow Jesus, you must learn from His example of gentleness and humility.

Today, let your words be faith building, for people battle with doubt and fear. Let your words be comforting, for people have wounds you cannot see. Let your words be uplifting, for people get torn down by criticism and discouragement. Let your words be calming, for God has promised to bless you if you are a peacemaker. And let your words be character-building; that way you will find people better off than you found them.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Pray that your life will become a testimony to other believers.
2. Pray that the Christ in you will manifest through your speech, conduct, faith, love, in spirit and in purity.
