The Commission of the Church

MARCH 9TH, 2022 | TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL: THE COMMISSION OF THE CHURCH (ACTS 1:8)

Our first call of duty as Disciples of Christ is to share the “Good News” to the world. The “Good News” is that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for our sin so that we might become the children of God through faith in Christ alone. Our task is not to convince people, but to testify of the truth of the Gospel, sharing with them the transformational work that His death, burial and resurrection has made available for us all.

The Great Commission Jesus gave us before He ascended is to, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19

The use of the word “Go” is a command and is not reserved for only a group of Christians. It is the responsibility and call of every believer to share the Gospel to the unsaved world. Today, make an important decision to share the Good News to the unsaved world.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the burden for souls, endow you with power and wisdom to be a witness to the lost.
2. Ask the Holy Spirit to cloth you with confidence and boldness to preach the gospel without fear or intimidation.
