The Full Armor of God
APRIL 1ST, 2022 | TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL: THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD | EPHESIANS 6:11 TPT) // Day 3 "Understanding the Power of Ordered Prayer" Prayer & Fasting
The Apostle Paul concluded his letter to the church in Ephesus with an emphatic admonition to be strong and not to be oblivious about the schemes of the devil. The Church is in a constant battle and we must be ready to fight against the wiles of the evil one. Our battle occurs only in the spiritual realm and can only be won with spiritual weapons. The arm of flesh will fail you. While victory is assured, the battle must still be fought.
You have to be armed and ready because Satan does not fight fair. He uses subtle tricks, schemes and devices to distract and destroy you. In the words of Jesus, the devil comes to steal to kill and to destroy. Your ability to stand the battle is congruent with the armor you put on.
Your enemy is not necessarily the person who hates you. Your enemy is Satan and his cohorts. Your enemy is powerful, but he is already defeated. Don’t be intimidated by his schemes. Put on the full armor that God has made available to you to resist Satan’s attacks, to stand faithful and grounded in God. Put on the whole armor daily, not just when you feel like it. You need the armor of Truth, Righteousness, Standing Alert and Ready, Faith, Salvation and the Word of God.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Pray for spiritual preparedness and readiness to stand strong against any inevitable clashes with the forces of darkness.
2. Pray that the force of God’s explosive power will flow through you and make you victorious in your day.
3. Pray and put on every missing armor, and ask the Lord to empower your prayer life.
